WAHS grad Alex Potter to hold presentation

The Windom Chapter of P. E. O. and the BARC (Business, Arts and Recreation Center) in Windom will be co-hosting a presentation by photojournalist Alex Potter, a graduate of Windom Area Public High School (WAHS) and daughter of Scott and Chris Potter of Windom, on Thursday evening, September 24, at 7 p.m. in the BARC Auditorium.

There will be a “Meet & Greet) following the presentation in the BARC Library, with refreshments served.

Potter, a 2011 graduate of Bethel University in St. Paul, has been living and working in Yemen over the last three years photographing the daily hardships of the people living in that terror-torn part of the Middle East, plagued by Al Qaeda, an insurgency in the north, a relatively-new government, and malnutrition, especially for children under the age of five. Potter and her work has appeared on CNN as well as other national and international news organizations.
