Winnie Marie Struck

Funeral services for 11-month-old Winnie Marie Struck of Windom, Minnesota, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, November 29, 2017, at the American Lutheran Church in Windom. The church is located at 906 Prospect Avenue.

Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Windom, located on Lakeview Avenue at Cottonwood County Road #17.

Visitation will be at LaCanne Family Funeral Home, located at 2280 6th Avenue in Windom on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. A second visitation will be at the church the day of the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Winnie Marie Struck passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017. She was born on December 16, 2016.

Prior to birth, Winnie was diagnosed with Holoprosensephaly and many other birth defects. During her time on earth, Winnie enjoyed listening to music, and loved being read to. She was a feisty little girl who brightened every room she was in and was adored by her family. Winnie endured many stays at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Winnie’s family thanks all the nurses, doctors and specialists who were by her side through this beautiful journey.

Winnie is survived by her parents, Josh Struck and Ashley Griese of Windom; siblings, Chayton, Ember and Maci Struck of Windom; grandparents, Dale Struck of Brownsdale, Minnesota and Mike and Sandy Griese of Mountain Lake, Minnesota; great-grandparents, Colleen Griese of Lake Park, Iowa, Donna Hanson of Heron Lake, Minnesota and Betty Gilbertson of Jackson, Minnesota; aunts and uncles, Tamra Griese of Mountain Lake, Jeremy and Kari Struck of Brownsdale, Jared Struck of Richmond, Virginia and Jordan and Amanda Struck of Shakopee, Minnesota and many great aunts and uncles, and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by grandma, Connie Struck and great-grandparents, Marvin and Leona Struck, Nordeen Gilbertson, David Hanson and Carl Griese.
