Speedway Builders 4-H Club installs new officers, club leaders

The Speedway Builders 4-H Club met on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at the Butterfield City Hall. The first order of business was the installation of new officers and club leaders. The following individuals were installed:

  • President – Lukas Pierson.
  • Vice-Presiden – Ryan Blomgren.
  • Secretary – Seth Pierson.
  • Treasurer – Noah Wolle.
  • Reporter – Jack Lepp.
  • Historian – Ryan Pierson.
  • Club Leaders – Jamie Quiring and Jody Lepp.

The club also approved the club charter and club budget.  Members were asked for community service ideas. The club decided to purchase coats for the Coats for Kids collection.

Members gave reports about the National 4-H Week window display and the Rube Goldberg project at the Children’s Museum. Federation and livestock meeting reports were also given.

Members were reminded of the Good Samaritan Society activity night on Tuesday, October 17. Members will share 4-H projects from the past year and play Bingo with the residents.

Another reminder is that the Wellspring Baked Potato fundraiser is on Sunday, November 5.

Demonstrations were given by:

  • Lukas Pierson – Minnesota House of Representatives.
  • Seth Pierson – Would You Take a Look Her? (sire selection).
  • Ryan Pierson – Calf Care Basics.
  • Tessa Tierney – Halloween Treat.

The Wolle family provided supper.
