The Speedway Builders 4-H Club met on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Voss Park in Butterfield for their annual hayride and club meeting.  The Andy and Sheila Pierson family provided the hayride around the City of Butterfield.

The meeting was called to order by Lukas Pierson, and pledges were said by the club. Attendance was taken by Ryan Blomgren. The club was thanked for the participation and effort given during the Butterfield Threshing Bee in the ice cream stand. Those members who participated at the 2017 Minnesota State Fair shared what project was taken and the ribbon received.

Members were reminded to re-enroll online. This year, 4-H Week is Sunday, October 1-Saturday, October 7. The club will once again have a display in the Butterfield True Value Hardware Store window to promote 4-H.

Club members discussed where to donate the fleece blankets that were made during the April meeting. The club will decide at the next meeting after information is reported back about the options. The club would like to once again participate in activities with the residents at the Good Samaritan Society of Mountain Lake. Contact will be made with the Good Sam.

The club will clean tables and wash dishes at the Wellspring Baked Potato Fundraiser in November. Families volunteered to work the two shifts.
