Tuesday accident leaves Mountain Lake man with life-threatening injuries

Crash involved rider on a Yamaha motorcycle

 

 

Nineteen-year-old Weston Bramstedt of Mountain Lake was taken to Windom Area Hospital with life-threatening injuries following a Tuesday evening, June 20 motorcycle accident.

According to a report filed by the Minnesota State Patrol, Bramstedt was riding a 2001 Yamaha Road-Street motorcycle northbound on Jackson County Road #9 at 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday evening when he attempted to turn eastbound onto Lake View Drive in Heron Lake. He left the roadway, colliding with a sign and a parked 2013 Chevrolet Silverado. Bramstedt was wearing his helmet, and alcohol was involved.

He was taken to Windom Area Hospital by the Windom Ambulance.

Also assisting the Minnesota State Patrol was the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
