Linnea Carlson

A Celebration of Life Service  for 91-year-old Linnea  M. Carlson, 91 of Trimont, Minnesota, was held this afternoon (Saturday, June 3, 2017) at Evangelical Covenant Church in Trimont with Pastor Todd Van Zee officiating.

Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery in rural Trimont.

Linnea M. Carlson passed away on Friday evening, May 26, 2017 at Trimont Health Care Center, in Trimont.

Linnea Marion Carlson was born on April 9, 1926, the daughter Oscar and Ida (Peterson) Carlson, just a mile out of Monterey, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at the Evangelical Covenant Church and went to country school in District #102 in Galena Township, Martin County, and later graduated from Triumph-Monterey High School with the Class of 1944.

Linnea worked in Minneapolis at Northwestern Hospital and Honeywell for over 35 years.  After retirement, she returned to Trimont to be by family. She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church and was involved in Covenant Women Ministries.

Linnea enjoyed traveling, reading and working in her yard, and loved her dogs and feeding the birds.

She is survived by her nephew, Dr. Byron and Karin Carlson of Forest City, Iowa and their children, Bjorn Carlson and Anders Carlson; nephew, Kermit and Robin Carlson of rural Trimont and their children, Kelsey and Jordan Klassen and (Adair and Pecos), Riley and Cassie Carlson and (Oliver and Stella) and Hilary and Sam Hallman and other relatives and friends.

Linnea was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elsie Carlson; brother, Herbert and his wife, Marjorie Carlson and other relatives.
