David W. Krueger passed away at his home with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, after a lengthy illness.

David William Krueger was born on March 16, 1942 on the family farm Heron Lake Township, Jackson County, Minnesota, the son of Herbert and Alice (Zahorsky) Krueger. While growing up on the family farm, he attended country school and completed his education in Lakefield.  After his education, he worked for several farmers until he began his employment at the Toro Company in Windom. In 2002, he retired from Toro after 40 years of employment.

David was united in marriage to Theresa A. Whisney on August 15, 1966 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  After their marriage, they made Windom their home. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2016.

David was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church. He had a special love for his 1960 Chevrolet Impala, which he enjoyed driving around town and in parades. He also enjoyed going to dances and listening to old time music of waltzes and polkas. But his greatest joy in life were his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

David is survived by his wife of 50 years, Theresa Krueger of Windom; two daughters, Susan Krueger and special friend, Mel Ludvigson and Teresa (Todd) Hines, all both of Windom; three sons, Richard (Babe) Krueger of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, David (Tonja) Krueger of Windom and Robert (Angie) Krueger of St. Peter, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren, Richie, Skylar, Desi, Dylan, Sierra, Kiki, Alex, Lance, Vanessa, Aaron and Harlie; two great-grandchildren, Bryson and Mick; four sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Clark of Hastings, Minnesota, Darlene Whisney of Jackson, Minnesota, Janet (Dick) Dys of Spirit Lake, Iowa and Kathy Veenker of Windom and an aunt, Mazie (Pete) Werner of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Alice Krueger and his in laws, Lawrence Sr and Theresa Whisney.
