Dale ‘Crazy’ Ayers

Funeral services for 51-year-old Dale “Crazy” Ayers of Jackson, Minnesota, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017, at Grandview Baptist Church in Estherville, Iowa. The church is located at 3705 170th Street.

Visitation will be at LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom, Minnesota, on Thursday, March 9, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral home is located at 2280 6th Avenue.

Dale “Crazy” Ayers passed away at the Good Samaritan Society of Jackson on Friday evening, March 3, 2017.

Dale Wayne Ayers was born on February 21, 1966 in Estherville, the son of Wayne and Donna (Sifrit) Ayers. He received his education from Estherville Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1984.

On January 23, 1990, Dale was united in marriage to Christine Mason in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They later divorced.

On February 14, 1995, Dale was united in marriage to Brenda Ludvigson in Boise, Idaho. They later divorced.

Dale lived in many places including, Estherville; Spirit Lake, Iowa; Jackson; Santa Rosa, California; Phoenix, Arizona; Boise, Idaho; Neosha, Missouri; Springdale, Arkansas and most recently in Lake City, Florida and Jackson.

He worked for Extreme Home Makeover and Ty Pennington’s shows, where he did construction work and painted, along with working other construction jobs. He did some power line work and worked for Kal-Bor in Windom, where he did underground directional boring.

Dale was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in November 2016 and moved into the Good Samaritan Society of Jackson this past February, where he lived until passing away.

Dale loved the Dallas Cowboys; watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr.; music; watching wrestling; traveling around the United States from coast-to-coast as often as he could; visiting with everyone and being in sunny Florida.

He is survived by his significant other, Tammy Trowell of Florida; three children, Tyler Ayers of Jackson, Ashley Ayers of Windom and Matt Ludvigson of Odin, Minnesota; three siblings, Hope Cornelius (Lonnie Anderson) of Jackson, Jodi Munoz and her husband Paulino of Storm Lake, Iowa and Jeffery Ayers (Jennifer Armstrong) of Windom; special family members, Melina Trowell, Veronica Trowell, Lee Trowell and Lonnie Trowell, Logan Trowell, Caleb Tillman, Aubrey Tillman, Payton Allen, Keelan Allen, Noah Allen, Junior Shepherd and Leron Shepherd; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Wayne Ayers and Donna Sifrit Hall and his granddaughter, Aubrey Elaine Tillman.
