Funeral services for 75-year-old Louis Haffner of Lake Crystal, Minnesota, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, February 23, 2017 at Sturm Funeral Home-St. James Chapel in St. James, Minnesota. The funeral home is located at 906 10th Avenue South.
Interment will be in Butterfield City Cemetery, located south of Butterfield.
Visitation will be at the funeral home the day of the funeral service from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Louis Haffner passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at The Beacon in Lake Crystal.
Louis Haffner was born December 23, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Richard and Mary (Ferguson-Wilson) Haffner. He grew up and attended school in Brooklyn. Louis worked as a film developer for a company that made billboards and worked for advertising companies. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He moved to St. James in 1990.
He is survived by his daughters, Martha (Leon) Wollschlager of Mountain Lake, Minnesota and Beth (Jesse) Ibarra of Riverview, Florida; eight grandchildren, Jessica Ibarra Gonzalez, Anthony Ibarra, Adrianna Ibarra, Alexis Ibarra, Brenda Lugo, Lisa Lugo, Leon Wollschlager, Jr. and Desiree Wollschlager and 13 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Louise; ex-wife, Edna; three sisters and two brothers.
