cody galerFuneral services for 21-year-old Cody Lee Galer of Windom, Minnesota, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday morning, December 28, 2015, at Amo Lutheran Church, located at 35368 Cottonwood County Road #5 in rural Storden, Minnesota.

Visitation will be on Sunday, December 27, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom, located at 2280 6th Avenue. A second visitation will take place at the church the day of the funeral service, from 10 a.m. 11 a.m.

LaCanne Family Funeral Service in Windom is handling the arrangements.

On Monday morning, December 21, 2015, Cody was involved in an automobile accident on Highway #71 north of Windom, on his way to work, and passed away at the scene,

Cody Lee Galer was born on September 21, 1994 in Windom, the son of Dustan Galer and Angela King. He was baptized and confirmed at the Amo Lutheran Church in rural Storden. Cody received his education in the Windom Public Schools, graduating in the Class of 2013.

Cody then worked at Christensen Farms before recently beginning a job with JonTi-Craft in Wabasso. While at JonTi-Craft, Cody received several promotions.

Cody had many enjoyments in life, including his love of his family and friends, gaming, hunting, working with stained glass, sriracha sauce, Mexican foods, his love of animals and his pride in his Irish heritage.

Cody is survived by his father, Dustan Galer of Lakefield, Minnesota; siblings, Zachery Galer and Saije Galer of Windom; grandparents, Robyn Galer of Windom; Stan Galer of Storden and Dennis King of Rushmore, Minnesota; great-grandparents, Ruth Sharkey of Marshall, Minnesota and Carl and Lucille King of Rushmore and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Harold Sharkey and Leonard and Lois Galer.
