David Baumann pinned between semi-trailer, loading dock
As posted on http://www.keyc.com/, a Springfield man died following a situation in which law enforcement authorities say he was pinned between a semi-trailer of which he was the driver, and a loading dock.
The incident occurred early Sunday morning, September 13.
According to the Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office, 55-year-old David James Baumann was found deceased at the loading dock of Butterfield Foods in Butterfield.
Those investigating the incident believe that Baumann was retrieving paperwork from his truck at approximately 2 a.m. early Sunday morning, when the vehicle rolled back, pinning him to the dock.
They state that neither the tractor or the trailer brakes were set in the “on” position.
The semi is owned by T & K Transport, Inc. of Butterfield.
