FAST-WASP Manufacturing gets DEED monies

According to post on KEYC-TV’s website

According to the KEYC-TV website, a half million dollar grant to a Windom company is expected to create well over 100 new jobs.

FAST–WASP Manufacturing will be creating 143 jobs in all areas of its manufacturing facility, as office positions.

The jobs are courtesy of a DEED (Department of Employment and Economic Development) Job Creation Fund, a grant awarded to FAST–WASP Manufacturing of Windom totaling $539,375.

The $500,000 performance based grant will be used toward the creation of the new jobs. Jobs will be added to the night shift, along with the addition of a weekend shift and workers to the day shift.

Half of the 143 full–time jobs are expected to be created over the next eight months.

The remaining $39,375 of the grant is a rebate for the company’s dirt excavation and blacktop.

FAST–WASP will also be purchasing approximately $3 million in equipment purchases and constructing additional office space.
