jeanette moeA Celebration of Life Service for 93-year-old Jeanette Moe of Ormsby, Minnesota, will be at 11 a.m on Tuesday morning, July 14, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Galena Township in rural Ormsby, Minnesota.

Interment will be in the Church Cemetery in rural Ormsby.

Reverend John Meyer will officiate at the services.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont, Minnesota, located at 71 Second Street S. E. A second visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church the day of the funeral service.

Jeanette Moe passed away on Thursday afternoon, July 9, 2015 at Trimont Health Care Center in Trimont.

Jeanette Helen Maxine Fagerlund was born on February 8, 1922, the daughter of Charles and Jennie (Anderson) Fagerlund in Buena Vista County, Albert City, Iowa. She was baptized on April 19, 1922 and confirmed on May 30, 1937. both at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albert City. Jeanette attended and later was a 1940 graduate of Lincoln Lee High School in Iowa.

After she graduated from high school, Jeanette went to California to work at building aircraft. She was one of the “Rosie the Riveters.” She meet Harwood Moe while he was serving in the United States Navy.

On May 24, 1942, she was united in marriage to Harwood Moe in Reno, Nevada while he was serving in the Navy. After his discharge from the Navy, they moved to Ormsby where they raised their family and owned and operated Ormsby Mobil for many years.

Harwood died on April 2, 1996. Jeanette continued living in Ormsby until February 24, 2012 when she became a resident of the Trimont Health Care Center in Trimont.

Jeanette was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ormsby, where she held many church offices. She loved visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and made sure she had chocolate chip cookies and a full candy jar for them. Jeanette enjoyed attending to her flowers and roses and traveled all other the United States, even going to Australia and New Zealand. She was an avid Minnesota Gophers, Twins and Vikings fan. Jeanette enjoyed reading and sewing and going shopping.

Survivors include her five children, Rodney Moe of Ashby, Minnesota, Barb (Lenny) Geiger of Ormsby, Doug (Sharon) Moe of Standsberry Park, Utah, Cheri (Lester) Sandbo of Ormsby and Greig Moe of Clarksville, Arkansas; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Velma Fagerlund of Faribault, Minnesota; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harwood Moe; daughter-in-law, Vicki Moe; four brothers; two sisters and other relatives.
