It’s ‘Mill’ time

Odin Craft Mill’s spring shows are now underway

A large number of the eclectic variety of handcrafted and antique products “warehoused” in the “Mill” in Odin for the spring shows of the Odin Craft Mill have found new homes since the event’s opening day on Thursday, April 23.

The first show weekend will continue through Sunday, April 26, with the second show series set for April 30 and May 1-3. Show hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday – 12 noon to 5 p.m.

There are over 150 consignors from five states displaying yard art, jewelry and crafts – all in one place. Items will be spread throughout the authentic 1923 Odin Feed Mill, complete with the old grinding and mixing rooms (and the original equipment, including the over-head hoist and old warehouse – to the 1917 Montgomery Ward Home – to the 1927 Gordon Van Tine Barn with its original floors, wallpaper and woodwork.

Additionally, lunch is available  in the Feed Mill’s old warehouse.

The Odin Craft Mill was the brainchild of Nancy Olson of Butterfield. Olson manages the operation, and during show days, it is staffed by volunteers from the surrounding area.

Sunshine and warmer temperatures mean spring and summer are on the new horizon, and there will be plenty of merchandise selections for decorating for those seasons.

Below is a photo gallery from opening day:

THE SUN CAME out, and the winds on the southwestern Minnesota prairie died down, making the opener. of the Odin Craft Mill’s spring shows a treasure-hunter’s dream day. This is a view of the exterior of the 1917 Montgomery Ward Home and 1927 Gordon Van Tine Barn – and a lawn chock full of yard art.
