PeFuneral services for Petra Albrecht, 80, of Windom, Minnesota, were held on Friday afternoon, December 5, 2014, at LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom.
Interment was in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Germantown Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota.
Petra Gladys Albrecht passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
The youngest of seven children of Richard and Olga (Steve) Albrecht, Petra was born on January 28, 1934, in Cottonwood County. She was single and lived with her widowed mother; sister, Emma and brother, Robert for much of her life. She later lived with her oldest sister, Anna Millard, in rural Bingham Lake, Minnesota. When Anna became ill, Petra became a resident of Doman Rose in Lakefield, Minnesota and then Residential Advantage Inc. of Windom. She later moved to Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
Petra loved the farm, playing with her dog and many cats. She also enjoyed her time spent at DAC (Development Achievement Center) in Delft and Windom.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers, Minnesota.
Petra is survived by one sister, Doris (Frank) Kasel of Vermillion, Minnesota and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
