Corella LudvigsonFuneral services for 94-year-old Corella Ludvigson of Windom, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, October 4, 2014, in the American Lutheran Church in Windom, located at 906 Prospect Avenue.

Interment will be in Memory Gardens of Windom.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2014, at the Jeffers, Minnesota Chapel of  LaCanne Family Funeral Home of Windom, located at 210 Woodman Street in Jeffers, as well as one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

She passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2014 at Pine View Assisted Living in Windom.

Corella K. (Teig) Ludvigson was born on October 30, 1919, the daughter of Andrew and Bessie (Strom) Teig in Belmont Township, Jackson County, Minnesota. She went to country school in Belmont Township and graduated from Lakefield Public High School in 1938.

On September 18, 1941, Corella was united in marriage to Carl Ludvigson at her father’s home place. This marriage was blessed with four children, Clayton, Cathy, Mel and Arlon. After marriage, Carl and Corella lived on a farm in Belmont Township for one-and-one-half years, until moving to their farm place in Delafield Township, Jackson County in 1943.

Carl passed away on March 23, 2004. After his death, Corella continued living on the farm until she moved in to Pine View Assisted Living in December 2012.

Corella was a longtime member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom. She was an original founder of the Good Cheer Club in January 1946 – and the last original member. Corella enjoyed making lefse, kringla and bread. She also enjoyed quilting, gardening, her chickens and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by her four children, Clayton (Lois) Ludvigson of North Liberty, Iowa, Cathy (Rich) Busse of Delft, Minnesota, Melvin Ludvigson and his fiancée, Susan Krueger of Windom and Arlon (Diane) Ludvigson of Windom; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gordon Teig of Jackson, Minnesota; a sister-in-law, Clarine Ludvigson of Windom; a brother-in-law, Robert Ludvigson of Windom and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl and in-laws.
