Deadline is June 10; contest is June 17 in Mountain Lake City Park
Registration is now open for the 11th annual Pow Wow Talent Contest, to be held on Tuesday, June 17, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Mountain Lake City Park in conjunction with traditional Mountain Lake Pow Wow festivities.
Cash prizes will be presented for first-, second- and third-place in three categories – pre-teen, teen and open. To register, contact Julie Brugman at 507-822-2678 , by Tuesday, June 10.
In a new twist this year, one contestant will qualify for “Minnesota Sings.” This contest is for amateur singers ranging in age from 15 to 25. Each city winner advances to compete in “Minnesota Sings 2014.” Cash prizes for “Minnesota Sings” are $2,500 for first-place, $1,000 for second-place and $500 for third-place.
