Funeral services for 47-year-old Alan Crowell of Jeffers, Minnesota, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning, May 8, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church in Windom, Minnesota, located at 974 6th Street.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, at LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom, located at 2280 6th Avenue.
Alan Crowell passed away suddenly on Friday, May 2, 2014, at Windom Area Hospital.
Alan Paul Crowell was born on October 20, 1966, in Windom, the son of Paul and Donna (Nickel) Crowell. He was baptized and later confirmed at Red Rock United Methodist Church in rural Jeffers. He received his education from Storden-Jeffers Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1985.
After high school, Alan lived in Windom and Jeffers. He worked at several auto body jobs and various trucking jobs. He also worked for AGCO in Jackson, Minnesota and most recently at Mountain Power Hydraulics in Mountain Lake, Minnesota as a painting and shipping foreman. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including, hunting, four-wheeling, fishing, kayaking and frisbee golf.
He is survived by his parents, Paul and Donna Crowell of Jeffers; four sisters, Debra Schroeder and her husband, Dean, of Windom; Darla Deutchman and her husband, Todd, of Windom; Denise Hansen of Worthington, Minnesota; and Deanne Cogdill and her husband, Steve, of New Underwood, South Dakota; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Alan was preceded in death by his grandparents and uncle, Dale Nickel.
