Mountain Lake Public Library to celebrate National Library Week

In observance of National Library Week from Sunday, April 13 to Saturday, April 19, Mountain Lake Public Library staff will be serving up coffee, lemonade and cookies from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, April 14 to Friday, April 18. There will also be drawings for door prizes. Area residents are invited to visit the public library and see all that is has to offer for their enjoyment.

In addition, the Friends of the Library membership drive will be underway during the special week. Library patrons are encouraged to become supporters by becoming a “Friend” or by renewing their current membership. This pas year, the Friends of the Library co-sponsored many library programs, including those by Minnesota authors Scott Thoma and Nancy Loewen (also a Mountain Lake native), the Zoo Man, Brodini the Magician and two teen events. In addition, the “Friends” provided funding for two ceiling fans in the library’s main room.

Easter preschool story time is this Friday

An Easter-themed preschool story time will be held this Friday morning, April  11, beginning at 11 a.m., for children ages three and older.
