dolores kuehl A Celebration of Life for 89-year-old Dolores Kuehl of rural Trimont, Minnesota, will be 10:30 a.m. this Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Galena Township, rural Ormsby, Minnesota with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery in rural Ormsby, Minnesota.

Dolores passed away on Monday morning, February 10, 2014 at her home in rural Trimont. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont and also one hour prior to the services at the church. Dolores Jeanette Olson was born on January 7, 1925, the daughter of Gudmer and Minnie (Running) Olson in Ormsby. She was baptized on February 22, 1925 and confirmed on June 11, 1939, both at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Odin, Minnesota. Dolores attended School District #71 in Cedar Township through the eighth grade, and then graduated from Triumph-Monterey Public High School in 1943. After graduation, she went to Hawthorne, California and worked in the department offices of the Northrup Aircraft Plant. The fighter plane, “The Black Widow,” was built there. Dolores returned to the area in February 1946 and was united in marriage to Donald Kuehl at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Odin on March 30, 1946. She lived on the couple’s farm until her death.

She worked for Custom Farm Service, Skelly and NuWay Chemical and Fertilizer Plants for 18 years. In addition, he was active in Ladies Aid, holding all four offices; taught Sunday School; sang in the church choir and volunteered at the Trimont and Truman, Minnesota Nursing Homes. She held an office in the Truman Auxiliary of the nursing home.

Dolores greatly enjoyed her family and their gatherings, making quilts, working on puzzles, going bowling, playing cards with friends and gardening. She, her husband and family belonged to the Trimont Saddle Club, and did a lot of horseback riding with family and friends.

Survivors include her sons, Michael (Renee) Kuehl of Truman and Scott (Lori) Kuehl of rural Ormsby; daughter, Peggy (Terry) Nelson of Luverne, Minnesota; son-in-law, Dan Rohman of Belview, Minnesota; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Corrine Bego of Mission Viego, California; sisters-in-law, Luverne Olson of Rochester, Minnesota, Selma Peterson of rural St. James, Minnesota and Lois Kingsley of Dallas, Texas; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; daughters, Mary Wirth and Ginger Rohman; brothers, Harold Olson, Donald Olson and Norman Olson; her parents and parents-in-law; brothers-in-law, Arthur, Earl and Marvin Kuehl, Layne Peterson, Don Kingsley, and Larry Bego; sisters-in-law, Elsie Olson, Dorothy Kuehl, Mildred Kuehl and Nelda Kuehl and other relatives and friends.
