Falcons up 18 points at half, win conference game 62-35
IT WAS TOUGH going for the Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverine girls basketball team at Lamberton when they took on Red Rock Central (RRC) in a Friday night, December 2 contest. The Falcons opened up an 18-point lead at the half, 34-16 and kept that intensity to claim the win, 62-35. For MLA, sophomore Taylor Naas led with eight points, with freshman Margo Stoesz tossin in seven. RRC’s Ramsey Piotter led all scorers with 16 points and had six steals and three assists for the Falcons. Rachel Kedl had 10 points, three assists and five steals for RRC, while Haley Simonson had 11 points. Vanessa Kedl led the Falcons with eight rebounds. The Wolverines are now 0-2, with their home opener on tap on Tuesday, December 6, when they take on St. James.
