Program goes into effect 2016-2017 school year
Mountain Lake Christian (MLC) has announced that the school will be offering their Pre-K program tuition-free for the 2016-2017 school year.
“We have restructured our Pre-K program” says Dr. Mike James, MLC Administrator. “One of our purposes in offering it tuition-free for the upcoming school year is to introduce this great new program to as many families as possible.”
The restructured program offers two options for families with Pre-K students. One is a two-hour program for three- and four-year-olds with no Pre-K experience. This option will meet Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 12:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Pre-K Two is a morning program for children 4+ years in age. This option will also meet on Tuesday and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mandy Linscheid will be the classroom teacher for both Pre-K options.
Dr. James offers several additional reasons for this introductory year of free Pre-K. “First, we believe deeply in the quality and value of the education we provide here at MLC. Offering Pre-K tuition-free gives families an opportunity to experience the difference. We also believe that affordable Pre-K should be available to all. If that is not able to happen at a state-level, we are glad to do what we can to make it possible locally.”
