THE LEAD SEESAWED during the course of the game, but in the end, the home Lady Wolverines were on the high end of the scoreboard, defeating their guests, the Adrian Dragons, by five, 46 to 41. At the half, Mountain Lake Area (MLA) was on top by nine, 28 to 19, before falling back by seven in the second half. The Wayne Klassen-coached squad battled back to claim control of the game, and the Red Rock Conference win. A couple of Stoesz sisters led the Lady Wolverines’ offense; senior Signey Stoesz leading all scorers, scoring 19 points, while youngest sister, eighth-grader Margo Stoesz, contributed 10. MLA is now 3-1, and will take on Heron Lake/Okabena at Okabena on Thursday, December 17.
