Annual Festival of Trees exhibit at CCHS through December 23

Mountain Lake Christian tree is part of the 2015 display

The annual Festival of Trees exhibit, hosted by the Cottonwood County Historical Society (CCHS) in its Remick Gallery, continues through Wednesday, December 23. The exhibit opened on Tuesday, December 1, kicked off by an open house.

The 2015 display features trees decorated by 16 individuals, businesses and organizations – including Mountain Lake Christian (MLC) in Mountain Lake.

Other trees in the festival are from:

+ Girl Scouts.

+ A. C. E. (formerly RSVP).

+ Windom Cotton Quilters.

+ Windom Saddle Club.

+ Windom Service Club.

+ Cub Scouts.

+ Cottonwood County Relay For Life.

+ First United Methodist Church of windom.

+ Friends of the Windom Library.

+ Compassionate Friends.

+ Sons of Norway.

+ Windom Tourist Club.

+ Marilyn Wahl.

+ Cottonwood County Historical Society.

The museum’s hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

Those coming to the Festival of Trees are eligible to vote for their favorite tree by placing a quarter (per vote) in the can at the base of each tree.
