sharon spauldingFuneral services for 61-year-old Sharon Elaine Spaulding will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon, August 7, 2015, at the United Methodist Church in Madelia, Minnesota. The church is located at 106 Center Avenue North.

Visitation will be at the church the day of the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Sharon Elaine Spaulding passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015, in Windom Area Hospital in Windom, Minnesota.

LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom is handling the funeral arrangements.

Sharon Elaine Spaulding was born on August 9, 1953, in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, the daughter of Ervin Paul and Janet (Lyons) Dick. She was raised in Comfrey, Minnesota and received her education there. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith and later confirmed.

Sharon was united in marriage to William Davis. They lived in several places throughout the United States and for several of those years, Sharon worked as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). This marriage was later dissolved.

Sharon later moved to Madelia, where she became a member of the United Methodist Church in Madelia. She was proud of her church and loved attending.

Recently, Sharon had moved to Lakeview Assisted Living in Heron Lake, Minnesota and became suddenly ill on Saturday, August 1, 2015, and was taken to the Windom Area Hospital in Windom.

Sharon will be remembered as a fun loving person who had many enjoyments in life which included cards, crossword puzzles, baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her three children, Chastity James of Tucson, Arizona; Sherry Quiram of Windom and Mary Lou Junker of Windom; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her significant other, Felix Garcia of Windom; her good friend, Jessica Hernandez of Windom and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
