Twisting winds in Long Lake Township

Ominous cloud produces small tornado north of Ormsby, south of St. James

A tornado touchdown was reported in Watonwan County at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening, July 24, two-t0-three miles north of Ormsby and six-and-one-half miles south of St. James in Long Lake Township.

The storm caused damage to a building site owned by Civil Ag Group (CAG), as well as several nearby corn and soybean fields and also downed trees in its path.

There were no reports of injuries.
