Limited team numbers – but all are award winners; one wins two as a double-entrant
The Mountain Lake Christian (MLC) Speech Team, led by Coach Kim Friesen, took a limited number of team members to the Saturday, March 21 meet at Janesville/Waldorf/Pemberton – but all returned as award winners – including one orator who nabbed two.
Three “Speechies” were available for the meet, with the remaining three busy with other obligations.
Josh Raabe received a third-place trophy in Humorous Interpretation, while Melissa Lohrenz was awarded seventh-place ribbons in both Original Oratory and Poetry and Katelyn Fast earned a red ribbon in Prose.
The next meet up for the full team is this Saturday, March 28, at New Ulm Public High School.
