Ms. Pankratz goes to Washington

Sierra Pankratz earns SCE-sponsored trip to nation’s capital

SIERRA PANKRATZ OF Mountain Lake, the daughter of Dale and Carol Pankratz and a junior at Mountain Lake Public High School, was South Central Electric’s (SCE) 2017 Washington, D. C. Youth Tour winner. Sharing about her time in the nation’s capital, Sierra noted, “I met so many awesome people form all over Minnesota AND from all over the United States and have made so many great memories with all of them. Touring all of the monuments, memorials and museums was so amazing to see in person instead of just on the Internet, and it truly put things into perspective. I have so much more respect for everyone and everything that was done to make this country as great as it is today because seeing our capital impacted me on a personal level. This is an experience I will never forget.” Above, Sierra in front of the North Lawn of the White House. SCE, a Touchstone Energy Cooperative, is a member-owned rural electric cooperative with 4,700 members in southern Minnesota.
