August’s ‘Movies in the Park’ night rescheduled

Mountain Lake Area Scholarship Program’s movie to be ‘Finding Dory’

It’s August showtime!

Due to the potential of soggy weather conditions, the Mountain Lake Area Scholarship Program’s showing of Finding Dory as August’s “Movies in the Park” movie night has been changed from tonight (Friday, August 25) to Thursday, August 31. The free showing will be held at the Mountain Lake Christian (MLC) soccer field, beginning at 8 p.m.

In addition, those coming to the movie need to bring their own seating (chair/blanket) and find seating on the hill. Seating will be first come, first served. There will be light concessions for sale (such as, popcorn, drinks, and Freezees).

August’s feature movie will be another Disney movie, Finding Dory. The flick is a 2016 American 3D computer-animated comedy/adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film is a sequel/spinoff to 2003’s Finding Nemo. The film focuses on the amnesiatic fish Dory, who journeys to be reunited with her parents

The idea behind family movie night is to get families outside and doing something fun during the summer.
