13th annual fundraiser an investment in the school’s future

The 13th annual Mountain Lake Christian (MLC) Benefit Auction was held Friday, April 7. The benefit featured both a live and a silent auction.

Every year the live auction includes goods and services not available anywhere else. These included: gift certificates, apparel, auto and auto care, electronics, entertainment, farm, food, health and beauty, home decor, kitchen, outdoors, services, sporting goods, tools and hardware, toys and games and miscellaneous items.

Themed gift baskets of all varieties meant that there was something for everyone at the silent auction. Basket themes have included car care, rainy day activities, family game night, coffee lovers, scrapbooking, car activities, dinner-and-a-movie and more.

A second silent auction included gift certificates for area restaurants and businesses.

Food and beverages were also available.

MLC is a private, nondenominational, nonprofit Christian school providing a quality education taught from the perspective of a Christian worldview.  MLC partners with Christian families to provide a Bible-based education in an academic environment that nurtures growth of the heart and mind of our students through academic excellence, genuine relationships and sacrificial service by the power and leading of the Holy Spirit.

MLC’s expenses are not fully covered by tuition. Each year, generous gifts by many donors, including several fund-raising events, aid in meeting our annual budgetary needs.  All proceeds from this Benefit Auction go to enabling many more families to attend MLC as an investment in the school’s future. Traditionally the amount raised from the annual auction is $40,000+.
