Zoey Smith earns fifth-place novice ribbon
Two members of the Mountain Lake Christian (MLC) Speech Team, coached by Kim Freisen, competed in the New Ulm Eagles Speech Invitational Meet, held this past Saturday, March 25.
The speech meet included more than 535 entries and featured stiff competition.
Zoey Smith from St. James broke novice finals, advancing to earn a fifth-place ribbon in Original Oratory.
Also competing Saturday was Elizabeth Linscheid of Butterfield, competing in the category of Original Oratory.
MLC judges for this meet were Scott Smith and Nordis Olson.
