A PAIR OF Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverine girls basketball team juniors had banner nights on Friday, February 3 as the squad extinguished the guest Adrian Dragons by 13, 60 to 47. Jewel Soutthivong tallied 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Jenneel Rodney scored 14, backed by six boards en route to the counference win. By halftime, the Wolverines had worked to an 11-point lead at 36 to 25. Mikayla Jeffers led Adrian with 12 points and Paige Bullerman scored 10 points. MLA is now 9-12 on the season and will host another Red Rock Conference foe, Heron Lake/Okabena, on Thursday, February 9.
