IN THEIR FIFTH home game in a row, the Mountain Lake ARea (MLA) Wolverine girls basketball squad handled Heron Lake-Okabena (HL-O), winning the Red Rock Conference tilt by 18, 54 to36. By halftime, MLA had an 11-point 29 to 18 cushion. Junior Jewel Soutthivong had a strong game in scoring and rebounding, recording a double-double with 18 points and 10 boards. Meanwhile, senior Liana Blomgren tallied 14 and grabbed seven rebounds. For HL-O, Kaylan Untiedt led HL-O with 10 points. The Wolverines now take their play on-the-road following their long homestand, traveling to Westbrook on Tuesday, February 14 to face Westbrook-Walnut Grove.
