Wolverine boys stopped by Saints

MLA drops weather-postponed game to St. James, 64 to 60

 

IN A WEATHER-postponed Tuesday, February 14 Valentine’s Day home game with St. James Area (SJA), the Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverine varsity boys basketball squad were stopped short of a win by their guests, 64 to 60. At the half, the Saints had maneuvered to a 36 to 27 lead. In the non-conference tilt, Levi Stoesz tallied 17 points, with Marcus Boyd adding 14. Aaron Fast earned a double-double on the night, scoring 13 and grabbing 14 boards. Brady Stevens had 15 points and eight rebounds for the Saints. Kobe Mohwinkel scored 13 points and Sandin Skow scored 11 for SJA. The Wolverines stand 14-7 in the overall, 8-4 in the Red Rock. Their next contest is at home on Thursday, February 16, against Murray County Central (MCC).
