MLA girls basketball win home game over USC

Three Wolverines hit double figures to lead the way

 

THREE MOUNTAIN LAKE AREA (MLA) Wolverine girls basketball players hit for double figures in the squad’s Tuesday, January 31 home eight-point win over United South Central (USC), 57 to 49. Freshman Margo Stoesz led MLA scorers with 16 points. Junior Jewel Soutthivong hit for 10 pounds and also grabbed six boards. Sophomore Taylor Naas also tallied 10 points en route to the non-conference victory. Shianne Robertson had 19 points for USC, while Kate Koestler scored 17 points. At the half, the Wolverines held an 11-point lead, 30 to 19. MLA (8-12) host conference foe Adrian on Friday, February 3.
