Dads of all stripes deserve their doughnuts

MLES continues Valentine’s Day tradition

Early this morning (Friday, February 10), dads, granddads and special male mentors were honored for all they add to the lives of children who attend Mountain Lake Public Elementary School (MLES). The recognition was held in the school’s cafeteria during a pre-school breakfast quality time, “Donuts For Dads.” The annual event is held on the Friday before (or on) Valentine’s Day.

Serving up the a.m. munchies were Taher Food Service Director Tammy Wolle and Mountain Lake Public School Social Worker Amy Hartzler.

A similar event – “Muffins With Mom” – is held for moms, grandmoms and special female mentors is traditionally held on the Friday right before Mother’s Day – this year on Friday, May 12.
