100 days smarter

MLES kindergarten students reach landmark day of school year

The Mountain Lake Public Elementary School (MLES) students of kindergarten teachers Nicole James and Kelli Tucholke recognized “100 Days of School,” today (Friday, February 10). The day was chock full of activities noting the 100th day of this school year – the first 100 of many days yet to come for the young students. Spending the day counting “hundreds” of things, the students also realized that they are 100 days smarter than when they first began kindergarten last September.

Below are photos of students from the two classes, along with group photos of the students in each classroom sporting their funky 100-day glasses:

JAXTON PAULSON COUNTS by “10s” his 10 groups of 10 Foot Loops in each group for – 100 Froot Loops! Jaxton is a student in the kindergarten class of Nicole James.

AFTER COUNTING OUT her 100 Froot Loops, Adleigh Olson begins stringing the fruity-tasting circles on a length of yarn in order to create a special “100 Day” necklace. Adleigh, too, is from the kindergarten classroom of Nicole James.
