MLC Junior High Speech at RTR

Quiring earns first, Smith finishes second, Linscheid in third

THE FOUR SEVENTH-graders that comprise the Mountain Lake Christian (MLC) Junior High Speech team took their oratory skills to a junior high meet at Russell/Tyler/Ruthton (RTR) on Tuesday, March 15, with three earning spots in the top three in their categories. Sara Quiring of Butterfield earned first in Prose, Zoey Smith of St. James finished second in Great Speeches and Elizabeth Linscheid of Butterfield received third in Original Oratory. Also competing was Jack Lepp of Butterfield in Humorous. MLC Senior High Speech Team members Melissa Lohrenz and Josh Raabe served as judges at the meet.
