Funeral services for 18-year-old Bode Lloyd of Kiron, Iowa, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Denison High School in Denison, Iowa. The school is located at 819 North 16th Street.
Interment will be in Little Sioux Cemetery in Smithland, Iowa.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 24, 2016, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the National Guard Armory in Denison, located at 12 North 35th Street.

Bode died during a fishing accident in rural Dow City, Iowa on March 20, 2016.
Bode J. O Lloyd was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on February 26, 1998, the son of Kevin and Suzanne Lloyd. Bode attended elementary and middle school at Mountain Lake Public School in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, and moved to Kiron in 2012 to live with his father. He continued his education at Denison Community High School, where he was to graduate with the Class of 2016.
While in school, he worked for K and D Construction in Vail, Iowa and Quality Truck and Trailer and Quality Communications. He did summer trucking with his father
During his junior year in high school, Bode enlisted in the Iowa National Guard. He served in boot camp at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, from June 7 to August 8 of 2015.
After graduating from high school, he was to be shipped to Ft. Lee, Virginia, for continued training as a diesel mechanic with the 93rd Bravo Company.
Bode was an energetic young man who enjoyed various sports during his educational career, including wrestling, football, basketball, fishing, hunting, NASCAR racing, snowmobiling in the Snowy Mountain Range of Wyoming and mudding with a 4-wheel-drive pickup. His principal hobbies involved tinkering with motors and working on cars. Bode was a very considerate man who would offer his assistance to anyone who was in need of his help. He had a firm interest in the military and considered making a career in the service.
Survivors include his father, Kevin (Tami) Lloyd of Kiron; his mother and step-father, Suzanne (Jesse) Koetzle of Mountain Lake; one brother, Tanner Koetzle and one sister, Elizabeth Koetzle, both of Mountain Lake; two step-brothers, Brandon and his wife, Alissa and Kelby and his wife, Rya; maternal grandparents, Linden and Sharon; step-grandmother, Deb; an uncle, Jeff and special friend, Tina; aunts, Sondra and husband, Todd, Shannon and husband, Brett, Kelli and husband, Michael, Kim and Marcia and husband, Todd.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gary and Hilda and step-grandfather, Gil.
