THE WOLVERINE BOYS dispensed of the Heron Lake-Okabena (HL-O) Wildcats in quick fashion in a Monday night, February 1, home Red Rock Conference contest. Mountain Lake Area (MLA) claimed a 28-point in, 72 to 44. At halftime, the Wolverines were comfortably ahead, 39 to 15. Junior guard Levi Stoesz had a whale of a game, singeing the nets for a game-hour 30 points. He also handed-off three assists and nabbed a trio of steals. Sophomore Marcus Boyd tallied 15 points. MLA moves to 12-6 on the season, 10-2 in the conference tilt. Due to the approaching blizzard, tonight’s game (Tuesday, February 2), against conference rival, Edgerton Public, has once again been postponed, this time to Thursday, February 11. Head Coach Shawn Naas’ club will host an “Elementary Night” this Friday, February 5, when Ellsworth visits.
