THE MOUNTAIN LAKE Area (MLA) Wolverines Varsity Girls Basketball squad, under Head Coach Wayne Klassen, roared back from a couple of tough losses to win by 25 on-the-road at Ellsworth, 60 to 35. After the first half, the team had claimed a comfortable 30-17 lead. Senior guard Signey Stoesz laced the nets for 26 points. She also added 11 boards and nabbed seven steals. Junior guard teammate Brook Sunderman also hit double figures with 10 points. The Wolverines are now at 8-7 on the season. Up next is a few days’ break until they face Adrian on the Dragons’ home court on Thursday, February 4. The following day, Friday, February 5, they stay on-the-road to Slayton to take on Murray County Central.
