THE WOLVERINE BOYS won big on-the-road at Adrian, dropping the Dragons by 32, 73 to 41. Four Mountain Lake Area (MLA) players ended the night scoring in double figures in the Red Rock Conference win. Topping the quartet was junior guard Levi Stoesz with 14 points. He also claimed four steals. Seniors, guard Chris Boyd and forward Ryan McCue, along with junior center Aaron Fast, each sliced the nets for 11 points. The Wolverines jumped out in front quickly in the first half, playing to a 48 to 21 margin at halftime. MLA, now 10-5 for the season and 8-2 in conference play, will host non-conference foe Madelia this Monday, January 25. On Thursday, January 28, Head Coach Shawn Naas’ squad will make a trip to Westbrook for a conference match-up with Westbrook/Walnut Grove. They return home Monday, February 1 to face Heron Lake/Okabena in another Red Rock game.
