Down host HL-O by 32 points
THE MOUNTAIN LAKE Area (MLA) Varsity Wolverines Boys Basketball squad of Head Coach Shawn Naas jumped out on top of host Heron Lake-Okabena (HL-O) Wildcats early on, 11-2, and rolled to a 32-point win over their Red Rock Conference foes, 72-40. Junior guard Levi Stoesz swished the nets for a game-high 25 points. He also contributed six boards and three steals. Sophomore Marcus Boyd tacked on eight points, added five steals and dished out four assists. Junior center Aaron Fast scored 12 points and senior guard Chris Boyd had four assists on offense. Senior Ryan McCue ended with nine points and junior Tommy Kraemer added seven. As well, each nabbed five rebounds. MLA, now with a 7-3 overall record; 4-1 in conference play, return home to play their first game of the new year on the Wolverines’ home court when they host Edgerton Public this Friday night, January 8.
