THE MOUNTAIN LAKE AREA (MLA) Wolverines Varsity Basketball squad dominated Red Rock Conference foe, the Fulda Raiders, at home, rolling by their guests by 39 points – 85 to 46. The Wolverines took the lead early on, held a 42 to 21 halftime lead and marched on to notch the win. MLA senior Ryan McCue the club’s scoring with 26 points, along with nabbing seven rebounds and dishing out four assists. Junior guard Levi Stoesz added 19 points and two steals and sophomore Marcus Boyd scored 12 points. The Wolverines of Head Coach Shawn Naas hold an overall 8-4 record and are 6-1 in the conference match-ups. Next up is the “Coaches versus Cancer” boys/girls doubleheader tonight (Friday, January 15) at home against another conference club, Southwest Christian of Edgerton.
