THE WOLVERINE BOYS went out to an early lead (37 to 28 at the half), maintained the cushion, and claimed a Red Rock Conference win on-the-road over the Westbrook-Walnut Grove (WWG) Chargers, 64-54. Junior guard Levi Stoesz led Mountain Lake Area (MLA) with 23 points, with senior forward Ryan McCue adding 14. The Wolverines are no 11-6 overall, 9-2 in conference play. Head Coach Shawn Naas’ squad returns home on Monday, February 1 to face Heron Lake/Okabena in another Red Rock game. On Tuesday, February 2, Edgerton will be in town for a weather-postponed make-up conference game. Elementary Night will be Friday, February 5, when Ellsworth visits.
