Wolverine boys down another conference foe

Move from one-point deficit at half to 77-63 win

THE FIRST HALF was a drag for the Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverines Varsity Boys Basketball, dropping behind the visiting Adrian Dragons by one, 36-37. But the squad revved it up in the second half to grab a 14-point Red Rock Conference victory, 77-63. Wolverine guard Levi Stoesz paced the offensive attack with 19 total points, and under the boards, grabbed nine rebounds. Also leading the attack were Marcus Boyd (14 points, seven boards) and Ryan McCue (11 points, seven rebounds – plus four assists). Andrew Fast was also a key component, slipping 14 points through the nets. MLA is now 4-3 on the season. Next up for the squad is a Friday, December 18 trip to Hills to take on another conference opponent, Hills/Beaver Creek.
