THE HOST MURRAY County Central (MCC) Rebels jumped out to a 30-12 halftime lead over the guest Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverines Varsity Boys Basketball squad and went on to take the conference contest, 60-36. A stifling defense by MCC kept MLA’s field goal percentage just below 40%. Senior guard Chris Boyd led the Wolverines, going 3-for-3 from deep for 11 team-high points. The 0-3 Wolverines look to take down Westbrook/Walnut Grove in a home game this Friday, December 4. The Monday, November30 boys/girls doubleheader at Mountain Lake against Windom, postponed due to weather, has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 11.
