THE MOUNTAIN LAKE Area (MLA) Wolverine Boys Basketball squad traveled to within just a few miles of the South Dakota border with a game at Hills against the Hills-Beaver Creek (H-BC) Patriots – to nab a 10-point Red Rock Conference win, 65-55. MLA led at the half by eight, 36-28, and fought back the home club to take the win. Junior Levi Stoesz led the Wolverines with 23 points. Sophomore Weston Osland chipped in 10 and senior Ryan McCue grabed six boards. The Wolverines, coached by Shawn Naas, are 5-3 overall and now have a break before heading into their own Holiday Tournament, scheduled for Monday, December 28 and Tuesday, December 29.
