Big conference win for Wolverine Boys Basketball

Claim eight-point win over host RRC Falcons

MOUNTAIN LAKE AREA (MLA) Varsity Boys Basketball’s Levi Stoesz had the hot hand in the Monday, December 14 Wolverine win over Red Rock Central (RCC) at Lamberton. Stoesz burned the nets for 29 points en route to a 71-63 victory over the Red Rock Conference foe Falcons. At the half, MLA was up by four, 32-28. They held on and increased that margin to claim the win. Stoesz also had eight rebounds and three steals. Marcus Boyd tallied 16 points and six boards, while Ryan McCue scored 10, accumulated five rebounds and nabbed a pair of steals. The team is now 3-3 on the season, winning three straight after dropping the first three. The Shawn Naas-coached squad is scheduled to next take on Adrian at home tonight (Tuesday, September 15).
