Arlene Louise Beckius was born May 16, 1950 in Pine River, Minnesota, the daughter of Martin and Clarabell (Olson) Beckius.
On April 24, 1982, she was united in marriage to Timothy Brown in Elko, Nevada. They made their home in St. James, where they raised their two daughters.
Wife, mother, grandmother, caretaker and friend, cousin and aunt, plus others, are all ways to describe her. She was always the first one to lend a listening ear, hold your hand and help solve problems with no answers. The lives Arlene touched are numbered in the thousands, as we are all touched by an angel, with each and every one holding their own memories and holding their grace like a stepping stone. She lived life to the fullest and never expected an end, but always prepared for it to be here someday, making sure we all knew she loved us with each and every word and smile, whether it be a phone call, a message or a card she was truly an angel. She brings so much grace with her passing, as she lived her life with grace and love. She will be missed by many and is loved by all.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Brown of St. James; daughters, Melissa Brown of St. James and Laura Brown of Ormsby, Minnesota; grandchildren Alex Hanson, Bethany Pierson, Conner Pierson and Dillon Roessler; siblings, Rosie Schroen of St. James, Pat (Don) Schuur of Bingham Lake, Minnesota, Barbara (Larry) Rassmussen of Mountain Lake, Minnesota and James (Linda) Beckius of White Bear Lake; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces/nephews.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eugene Beckius and a brother-in-law, Dennis Schroen.
